All prices exclude VAT. A pageview is any page view on your store where ThunderBar loads. If you exceed your limit in a month, we let you know and suggest the right plan — search never stops.
Frequently asked questions
Does installing it change anything in my store?
No. The module only adds its own files and does not change any product, order or core file. Until you switch it on, your customers keep seeing your current search.
Can I try it before my customers see it?
Yes. Preview mode lets you use ThunderBar on your live store through a special link, while visitors keep seeing the old search. When you are ready, you switch it on with one click.
How many products can it handle?
In a load test with 45,000 products, search responded in 120–155 ms, and in 25–40 ms when the same search had been made before. For larger catalogues we recommend a dedicated installation.
How often are prices and stock updated?
From every 15 minutes to once a day, depending on your plan. Only what changed is updated, so your store is not put under load.
Does it slow down my site?
The search loads lightly and only when a visitor uses it. All processing happens on our servers, not on your store server.
Does it work with Journal and other themes?
Yes. It works with Journal and most OpenCart 3 themes, and accepts your own CSS for colours and fonts.
Is it GDPR compliant?
We do not store names, emails or payment details. For personalisation, visitors are identified only by an encrypted identifier, and the feature can be switched off.
Do I need a developer?
No. You upload the module from your store admin, paste the key from your dashboard and you are done. If you prefer, we install it for you.
Does it support WooCommerce?
OpenCart 3 is supported today. The WooCommerce plugin is in final testing.
What is the difference between yearly and monthly billing?
Paying yearly saves you 20% compared to monthly billing. Monthly billing has no commitment and can be cancelled at any time. All prices exclude VAT.
What happens if I exceed my pageviews?
Search never stops. We let you know and suggest the right plan. For stores with over 1,000,000 pageviews or big peaks such as Black Friday, there is the Custom plan.
Does it work with Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento or my own system?
Yes. Your catalogue is read from the feed you already have for Skroutz, Google Merchant or Facebook Catalog, and search is added to your site with one line of code. For OpenCart there is a ready-made module.
Does it support Greeklish?
Yes. "papoutsia" finds "παπούτσια", and a wrong keyboard layout (Latin letters when the shopper meant Greek, or the opposite) is detected too.
Can AI assistants search my store?
Yes. ThunderBar includes an MCP server: AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and autonomous agents can search your catalog with the same smart search and give their users links to your products.
