Merchandising

You decide what shoppers see first

Search is the "warmest" moment of a visit: the shopper has said what they want. With ThunderBar's merchandising tools you show them the right products, your offers and whatever you want to sell this week.

01

Result rules

For one term, for searches containing it or for all searches: pin products first, hide the ones you do not want, or boost a whole category, only for the days you set.

Example: for "gift", gift sets first, only from 1 to 24 December.
02

Automatic season and product types

From October to March tracksuits, hoodies, jackets and boots come first, from April to September shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops and swimwear, with no rules that expire and get forgotten. When the shopper types a product type, search keeps to it: for "adidas tracksuit" shorts and short sets go to the end, for "nike shorts" the tracksuits do. Words like "winter" or "summer" are taken into account. Nothing is hidden, only the order changes.

Example: "winter tracksuits" in July brings tracksuits with hoodies and fleece first, not short sets.
03

Campaign landing pages

Results pages with their own address, for ads or newsletters: search term, price range, sale items only, sorting, pinned products and a banner. From rising searches, the page fills itself in with one click.

Example: "Gifts under €100" or "Sale only".
04

Synonyms and suggested links

Tell search that two words mean the same thing, and send anyone who types "returns" to your returns page.

05

Before the shopper even types

As soon as they click the box, they see popular and pinned searches, popular products with an "In high demand" badge, a banner and featured products.

06

Sales shown like in your store

Struck-through old price or final price only, a badge with percentage or your own text and colour such as "OUTLET PRICE". Sold-out products can go to the end of the list.

07

Cart and wishlist from the results

Shoppers add to cart or wishlist without opening the product page, and you see which products go to the cart from search.

08

Recommendations and alternatives

"You may also like" on every product page, and available alternatives when a product is sold out, so the shopper does not leave.

09

"Find the perfect gift" quiz

Four questions (for whom, occasion, what they like, budget) and the shopper sees gifts within budget, in a gifts/jewellery or a sportswear/clothing version.

10

Per-visitor personalisation

Each visitor sees first the categories they care about, based on what they viewed, clicked and bought, and their recent searches even from another device when logged in. No email, name or IP, only encrypted identifiers.

Some tools depend on the plan: see pricing.
