AI search for OpenCart, inside your own theme
The ThunderBar module adds instant AI search to OpenCart 3 and shows the results with your theme's own pages, product cards and filters.
What the module does
- Your theme's search page. Results stay on the store's own search page, same URL and theme, with ThunderBar products and filters.
- Category pages. Optional ThunderBar list in category pages, with collapsible filters and the theme's own toolbar (count, per page, view, sort, pages).
- Journal 3. Detected automatically: the theme's search page, product cards and sidebar filters show ThunderBar results.
- No theme edits. It works through OpenCart events, so theme updates do not remove it.
- Your store's look. The search window takes your store's font and buy-button colour.
- Updates without reinstalling. The search window code loads from ThunderBar, so improvements reach your store without a new module.
- Orders from search. Revenue per search term, including card payments confirmed by the bank.
- Test before your visitors. A cookie-only test mode shows ThunderBar results on your own pages, only to you.
Installation
Create your account
Add your store in the ThunderBar dashboard and copy its API key.
Install the module
OpenCart admin → Extensions → Installer → upload the zip. Then Extensions → Modules → ThunderBar → Install.
Paste the API key
Open the module, paste the key, set it to Enabled and save. The catalog is read automatically.
Test, then go live
Check the results on your own pages with the test mode, then turn them on for everyone.

OpenCart 3.0.x, any theme (full Journal 3 support).
